ILLUSTRATIVE MATHEMATICS

Illustrative MathematicsIllustrative Mathematics, launched in late 2011, is a collaborative community of over 15,000 educators dedicated to the learning of K-12 mathematics. In addition to a large community of users, the Illustrative Mathematics advisory board consists of representatives of organizations such as the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM), the National Governors Association and many other leaders in mathematics education. The growing community builds expertise through the development, critique, and revision of tasks.

All published tasks are freely available online in addition to being available as downloadable PDFs. You can search for tasks by grade or by domain, or by using a key word search. In addition to tasks, Illustrative Mathematics also publishes illustrations of the standards for Mathematical Practice and video illustrations of the progressions within the Common Core.

Parent Teacher AssociationThe National PTA's Parents’ Guides to Student Success were developed by teachers, parents and education experts in response to the Common Core State Standards that more than 45 states have adopted.

Created for grades K-8 high school English language arts/literacy and mathematics the guides provide clear, consistent expectations for what students should be learning at each grade in order to be prepared for college and career. Each guide also includes tips and activities that parents can do at home to support their child's learning.
